Remembering Our Trailblaizers

This year, we are honoring the achievements and  contributions of the Black American Pioneer. This will include notable Texas cowboys and cowgirls such as Mary Fields (Stagecoach Mary), Adam Orgain, Bill Pickett, and Bass Reeves. Join us as we pay our respect to these great American treasures.

Why We Celebrate Juneteenth

Juneteenth celebrates the day (June 19, 1865) when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved African Americans were free, effectively ending slavery in the United States. It's a commemoration of freedom, a time for reflection on the legacy of slavery and the ongoing struggle for equality, and an opportunity to celebrate African American culture and resilience.
