This year, we are honoring the achievements and contributions of the Black American Pioneer. This will include notable Texas cowboys and cowgirls such as Mary Fields (Stagecoach Mary), Adam Orgain, Bill Pickett, and Bass Reeves. Join us as we pay our respect to these great American treasures.
Juneteenth celebrates the day (June 19, 1865) when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved African Americans were free, effectively ending slavery in the United States. It's a commemoration of freedom, a time for reflection on the legacy of slavery and the ongoing struggle for equality, and an opportunity to celebrate African American culture and resilience.
We believe in supporting and encouraging the achievements of our youth. We aim to award a minimum of three (3) $500 Scholarships to deserving Hutto High School Seniors.
Seniors are to apply by June 9th and awardees will be announced on June 19th on Black Families of Hutto's Facebook Page.
Scholarship recepients are asked to be at the event on June 22nd at 3pm.
Sponsorship Levels are:
Level 1: $25 - $99
Level 2: $100 - $199
Level 3: $200 and above (Premier Placement)
All sponsors will have their logos featured on the official Juneteenth T-shirt and promotional media, including Black Families of Hutto page and event posters. Sponsorship placement varies by level, with Level 3 sponsors receiving premier visibility.
LOGO SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
MAY 25, 2025
(Logos must be submitted by this date to appear on T-shirt)
