This year, we are celebrating in style! We are honoring how African Americans have shaped culture through decades of fashion. From the sophisticated Gilded Age and the swagged-out Harlem Renaissance; to the mighty Black Power movement and the revolution of Hip Hop. Pick your decade and bring your family and chairs and join the show as we continue to march in step from 1865 to now.

Why We Celebrate Juneteenth
Juneteenth celebrates the day (June 19, 1865) when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved African Americans were free, effectively ending slavery in the United States. It's a commemoration of freedom, a time for reflection on the legacy of slavery and the ongoing struggle for equality, and an opportunity to celebrate African American culture and resilience.
Youth Scholarship Application
We believe in supporting and encouraging the achievements of our youth. We aim to award a minimum of three (3) $500 Scholarships to deserving Hutto High School Seniors.
Seniors are to apply by
May 29, 2026, and awardees will be announced on June 10th on Black Families of Hutto's Facebook Page.
Scholarship recipients are asked to be at the event on June 14th at 1:30 pm.

All sponsors will have their logos featured on the official Juneteenth T-shirt and promotion media, including Black Families of Hutto page and event posters. Sponsorship placement varies by level, with Level 3 sponsors receiving premier visibility.
